Job Description:

Convert existing Microsoft Access Application to a client server platform utilizing Visual Basic 6 and Oracle 8 relational database.

Background:

Looking for a self-starter to support and convert various customer service and accounting applications for an Insurance company located in the Chicago Western Suburbs. Working knowledge and a minimum of 2 years of Visual Basic development skills a requirement. Strong Knowledge of SQL utilizing Oracle version 8 (Unix Version) relational database also a requirement. A basic understanding of Microsoft access Forms, Tables and Reports (Crystal Reports 6.5 for VB as well) are required. Ideal candidates must work well with business users and on their own. Candidates must also possess strong problem solving skills and good oral and written communications. Bachelors degree in MIS or equivalent experience.
